Discussion

* Chris: Has stopped with presentation at EMBC'09. 2) The hardware license isn't suitable. SourceForge is appropriate.
Examples include SQUID B license. HW is Creative Commons, Java is GPL. embedded software is lesser GPL, and the application GPL.
Criteria for open source.
1. Free redistribution.
2. Source code must be available,.
3. It addresses derived works. Derived works cannot be more restrictive than the original.
4. Integrity of the author's source code. Must give the author attribution.

We only have a problem with #3.
Options are:
GPL, lesser GPL.
Common Cause, like Mozilla.
The Creative Commons license is ideal for us, but it may not be an option under SourceForge.

Creative Common
www.creativecommons/about/license.
We are thinking about
Attribution
Attribution Share Alike
GPL, Lesser GPL
CPAL, Common Public Attribuion License.
* It's easy to understand.
* Flexible with several options.
- Attribution
- Share alike: you can use it if the product has at least this much protection.
Examples include: ARDUiNO - computer about the size of a stick of gum. Cad Eagle

Larry:
* Building is closed. Pipe broke and destroyed 1/3.
* Progress: Not a lot. A little on the off the shelf wrist monitor timer circuit.
* We have two microcontrollers and two people working with them. Need a long-term plan for microcontrollers. We don't have the rest of the circuit board and someone to building it.
